Meditation is a practice which allows an individual to transform their mind. For many people, it is a state of deep peace which helps them overcome problems or realize benefits. To be comfortable when you meditate, you must stretch your arms, legs and body which allows you to loosen your body.
Pay Attention to Your Breathing:
Breathe deep as this slows the heart rate, focuses the mind, relaxes the muscles and is the best way to start your practice.
Identify Your Purpose:
Meditation is an active process and for a beginner it can be difficult to focus his attention to a single point. Therefore, it is crucial to identify your purpose of meditation and be engaged. If you start getting frustrated, focus on your breathing and your frustrated feelings will go.
Experiment:
When you meditate, you must be comfortable with your position. Effective meditation is not only sitting with legs crossed. You could sit or even lie down. You can have your eyes open or closed.
